2009 Activities All activities will be held at the beautiful Manley-Bohlayer Farm unless otherwise stated. The farm is located in the endless mountains just off Rout 414 3 miles east of Canton PA.

Birdbaths and Stepping Stones May 5 and 7
This activity will feature members of the Canton Garden Club demonstrating and assisting participants in making sand cast birdbaths and/or stepping stones. This will be a two step activity requiring two days to complete. Fee of $10.00 Tuesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Endless Mountain Music Festival Concert - Honoring Patricia Lutomski Owens Tuesday, August 4, 2009

Rekindle the Spirit, Inc is honored to be the site of the first Endless Mountain Music Festival concert in the Canton area. This concert will honor Patricia Lutomski Owens, past president of Rekindle the Spirit. The concert will be held in the beautiful Manley-Bohlayer House. This will be an evening with a quartet of world-class musicians playing a variety of classical pieces. Betty and Elizabeth Landon will help to make the evening a very special event. Paris Jazz Night
Evening of Saturday, August 22 7:00 to 10:00 PM Tickets for this event are $15.00 per person. Please call 570-673-3985 for reservations and tickets. Come spend an evening in a Paris sidewalk cafe recreated at the historic Manley-Bohlayer Farm. Flora Eyster, Steve Catania and Ed Shoal will entertain all with their wonderful jazz trio. There will be music, beverages, hors d' oeuvres, pastries and coffees. This will be a special evening to enjoy the beauty of a summer evening in the endless mountains.

Pennsylvania Apple 'n Cheese Festival Fine Art and Photography Show Saturday, October 3 10:00 to 6:00 and Sunday October 4, 10:00 to 4:00 This show is free with admission to the Apple 'n Cheese Festival. Arts and Humanities programs of the past have included workshops and programs in fine arts, literature and folk crafts, along with an antique appraisal and auction, a blacksmithing workshop and fun days for children playing “old fashioned” lawn games. Promoting the arts and humanities is an important part of Rekindle the Spirit’s mission. The Arts & Humanities committee provides a wide variety of programs and activities, by drawing on the rich cultural heritage and the enormous individual talents available in the surrounding area. Many activities are hands-on or demonstrations in the fields of traditional art, crafts, music, literature, theater, media arts and folk art. By making these art and music-related activities available we can supplement the area’s school programs and instill an appreciation for the resources in our communities. We encourage other groups to work with us on projects at the wonderful setting of the Manley-Bohlayer farm.
